Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What is Camp TAR?

A: Camp TAR offers a unique overnight camping solution in close proximity to start and finish og The Arctic Run, located at Hadsel Flerbrukshall.

Q: What are the available camping setups?

A: You can choose a setup with a camp bed or opt for a campsite option if you're bringing a tent.

Q: How big is my camping area?

A: Each Camp TAR booking is individual and applies to your own personal area. The Camp area will be regulated to fit normal solo sized tents. At the moment, Hadselhallen has a lot of room, but we reserve the right to regulate the area sizing dependent upon the volume of incoming bookings closer to the event.

Q: Where is Camp TAR located?

A: Camp TAR is located at the same "island" that The Arctic Run takes place, Hadseløya, at Hadsel Flerbrukshall - an indoor facility featuring artificial turf.

Q: Can I decorate my camping area?

A: Absolutely! Your space is completely yours to design and decorate however you wish (feel free to express your creativity, as long as it doesn't disturb others or ruin the artificial turf).

Q: Are there any restrictions on decorating or setting up my camping area?

A: Yes. Since the space is on artificial turf, it is not permitted or possible to use any fixtures that involve hammering or nailing into the ground.

Q: Do I need to bring my own sleeping bag?

A: Yes, we encourage all guests to bring their own sleeping bag, regardless of whether you choose the camp bed option or not.

Q: How do I book my spot at Camp TAR?

A: In our web shop, you can choose to book for one night (either Friday–Saturday or Saturday–Sunday) or for the entire weekend.

Q: What additional amenities are available?

A: There will be opportunities to purchase simple food and snacks, in addition to hygienic products throughout the weekend. Otherwise, we encourage guests to enjoy the amazing culinary experiences and offerings of Vesterålen.

Q: Can I change my setup after booking?

A: Changes to your camping setup should be made at the time of booking. However, if you need to make modifications later, you can request changes by emailing us at folkefest@tja.cool.

Q: Who are the organizers of Camp TAR?

A: Camp TAR is brought to you by Folkefest (formally Arena Storheia) – the creative force behind the most exciting side events during The Arctic Run weekend, including the popular Folkefest After Party and more – all dedicated to ensuring you have a fantastic, unforgettable experience in Vesterålen during the first weekend of June.
